I recommend starting machine quilitng on a rag quilt. It’s smaller pieces, easier to handle, and you don’t have to worry about all that piecing before getting going. And when you are done, you have some good practice and a rag quilt for throwing around and using when you don’t want to use a good quilt.

Don’t leave a pen near me when I’m on the phone or else every paper in sight will be covered with little designs :o) And if there are flyers or phone books nearby all the O’s will be filled in!
Wouldn’t a dry erase board be perfect for this?!

I have had the most success using a fancy letter L and with a figure 8 . I figured out how make a continuous line of hearts but they are very irregular in size and shape. I think I will give my brain a rest for today.
