I personally have not used metallic thread – too chicken – so I tapped into our friend Vicki at AccioFabric @blogspot.com and we’ll post her tips this week. Love to see your quilting on the laptop cover!

I do have a question…I worked on a slip cover for a laptop this weekend for my daughter. She picked out metallic thread for quilting it. Boy was a bugger to use! I played with the tension, changed the needles from quilting, sharps, metallic etc. and played with my speed of my pressed foot and my hand movement, but it continued to “snagged” on me! Would you have any suggestions you could share on using metallic threads while quilting a project?

Thank you! (BTW I did finally finished it, but it was a struggle!). Pattiann
