Looks like ya’ll had a blast!! I like to make my own shop hops. I pick a town or area online and map out enough shops to fill the day. Then I fill my car with sewing friends and head out early to hit all the shops and come back late. It’s always a blast and there aren’t loads of other shoppers in the way. The best benefit is that the shops aren’t busy and love to take extra time with out of town customers!

So you guys were in my backyard? Basketcases is where I took my first quilting classes. Dave, the guy using the longarm is the husband of my first teacher and we have group quilting at her house still once a month. I love those ladies. Glad you and Paige had a good day. We should all go to Des Moines in October for the quilt show, they have about the same stuff that Rosemont had, but a lot less people pushing you around, and cheaper parking.

Lorrie ,looks like you and Paige had a quilter’s dream day at the shop hop.I haven’t even been in a quilt shop since October of last year and it was very small one that was really more into selling sewing machines. Each shop was so different and fun,I enjoyed your shop hop adventure.Thank you for sharing this very special day with us. I bet those red velvet cupcakes were good !!!

It was a lot of fun Diane. We usually have the International Quilt Show in Chicago but they moved it to Ohio this year and I think I was in need of some fabric therapy! We didn’t make it to all of them them. Maybe next year:)

Thanks for the eye candy, Lorrie! Some great displays, and I love the quilts! Now that you’ve experienced your first shop hop, are you hooked? I go to two a year, one in fall and one in spring, just finished the spring one, eleven shops in two days, whew! I look fwd to these hops every year, they are such fun!
