I have had the same thing happen except I was the one that used the blue pen and it was only on a pillow. I use the pillow but the marker is still there after trying everything! I think my mistake was ironing it after I marked it. Stupid! Oh well live and learn!:-)

Your new quilt blocks look great! Of course I’m for rickrack! :-)

Different people have different ideas about what is ok. I have never used any sort of marker on my quilts so I can’t help you much. I love your Just dreamy blocks and ric rac is the best.

Normally, the only way to get rid of the blue marker is to soak it in water, JUST water. Any washing powder or stain remover could set it permanently. The good news is that they are blue. Every time this has happened to me, the lines have turned brown.

I sure hope you get them out.

Wow Liz and Diane! All these years and still in there. Doesn’t leave me much hope. She knows about the blue not coming out with spraying it and I told her I would wash it and see if it comes out. I’m hoping she’ll follow up with me. I’ve been using her for about 6-7years and had no problems…we’ll see.

There were luckily only a couple of spots that didn’t show up that much, but I was still upset. I’ll never use blue again….for anything.

Did your quilter take responsibility, or did you have to pay her for this disaster? If we can see it this clearly on your photo, it must be much worst in person.
