I make about 2 or 3 Christmas quilts a year. I just know my quilter has to be sick of seeing them. I have 2 waiting to be quilted, one at the quilter, one almost completed, and one that’s in planning. And that doesn’t include the table toppers or other Christmas items I also make. I can’t help it though. I love Christmas fabric! So, I thought I’d share some of my quilts and how I display them through Christmas.
This is my favorite one and probably sparked my obsession.
I was recently in a class with a quilter who suggested hanging quilts with the 3M picture hangers. They are amazing…no nails, easily removable, and it hangs perfectly flush with the wall.Which is how I hung this one…
Here’s a table topper I made with Sheri Berry’s Christmas line last year.

Those strips seriously hold that quilt up? I can’t wait to try it, I’m so psyched! I love your Christmas quilts. They make me want to actually make something out of my Maison de Noel, instead of just looking at it. You’ll have to help me pick a pattern to make with that line this year.

I am amazed those strips actually hold a quilt! Do they last a long time? Have you used them to hang a quilt more permanently or are they better for seasonal quilts? This is an excellent idea for apartment dwellers and saves time making a sleeve if they’ll stand up for the long haul!!

This is my first time to use them. They seem to be doing a good job. I’m curious to see if they make the back of my quilt sticky. I’ll update after Christmas on them. The person I had the class with said that’s how they hung them in a shop.

I love your wall hanging, those colours are so pretty, is there a pattern for that (or is it from a while ago?) The sheri berry fabric is gorgeous, I love what you did with it.

Thank you Sonia! The pattern is from Bunny Hill called Snowman Country. It was a lot of fun to put together.

I adore your Xmas Noel Quilt. Is the pattern from a book? I’d like to make a similar quilt. I’m sure I can figure it out on my own, but it you can refer me to a pattern I’d love to see it.
Great blog–very inspiring!
