We had a great first day at the quilt show and we’re looking forward to another exciting day!

We took a stroll through the booths before it opened and I took pics of some of the quilts. Lots of cute things to add to your to-do projects.

Sweet embroidery pillows…

Wool bundles…

Adorable bicycle quilt!

Christmas, of course:)

More wool projects.

A gingerbread house with cute yo-yos.

A couple of booths we found with interesting quilts displayed.

Back with more tomorrow. I’m going to try to break away and get some shots of the quilts in the show!

Check out our booth video! And don’t forget to “subscribe” to our channel while you’re there!

We are vending this weekend in Madison, WI at the Alliant Energy Center for the Quilt Expo. If you’re in the area, stop by! We’d love to meet our customers!

Wanna join us even though you don’t live in the Midwest? I’ve got the next best thing for you…
No need to pack. I’ve done that for us.

Throw your bags in the car. Let’s go!

Bye daisy! I’ll miss you!

First stop. Starbucks of course. I can’t think without a coffee!

We’re here! Let’s unload and set up.

Whew! That was a lot of work!

Let’s go eat now. I’m starving.

We deserve a glass of wine too!

Back to the hotel and time to kick my feet up and relax. Tomorrows going to be one busy day!

Be sure to stop by our booth, #916, if you’re out and about!
Check back tomorrow for more updates.

“Always gotta keep busy or the voices start telling me to do wild things.” A fitting quote I found on Google:) My voices tell me to shop & worse…eat!

Here are a few thing that have kept me busy lately. Let’s start with the shopping. World Market is a dangerous place and I shouldn’t be allowed back in…

Cute coffee mugs and cereal bowls that say Good Morning!

I poured myself a tasty cup of Red Velvet Coffee, yes I said it, Red Velvet! Sooo yummy!

I found more of those cute stacking measuring bowls and a new set of ceramic measuring spoons.

Cute reusable polka dot straws!

A mini colander in turquoise, a maple bacon sucker for neighbor Susan, who loves bacon & a mini measuring cup that is 2 Tablespoons..

I didn’t buy this adorable pillow but took a pic for inspiration…

Some fabric shopping..I found the perfect polka dot for Halloween applique and picked up a few Halloween fat quarters I didn’t have.

And a piece from 3 Sisters with Christmas post cards all over it. I love this piece!

I’m going to skip the food pics because, well, it’s just embarrassing :(

So to keep myself occupied and out of stores and restaurants, I’ve been busy working on shop samples and kitting them for our upcoming fall Quilt Shows.

Arbre de Noel was made using the Tinsel Christmas line from Blend Fabrics. It turned out really cute! Paige did some awesome quilting, adding snowflakes and swirls. The big red star is my favorite.

This quilt in progress is called Chopsticks. It’s currently awaiting quilty magic from Paige and I can’t wait to show the finished quilt soon.

I’ve also been working diligently on the Witch’s Boot. But, I’m going to wait and show you that when it’s completed. That’s how close I am to being done…very excited!

Here’s a list of the upcoming shows we will be vending at this fall. If you’re in the ChicagoLand area, come see us. We love to meet our customers!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Pride of the Prairie Quilt Show this weekend. It was a huge success and Paige and I had a great time! They have a wonderful guild and were very welcoming. We met a lot of new people.

We set up in a small classroom. I was really proud of us for getting everything loaded in an Altima, setting up 2 hours before the show and doing such a great job of displaying everything without pipe and drape this time.

It’s fun to work quilt shows especially since we are an online shop . It gives us a chance to meet new people and even see returning customers. We get a feeling for what excites and inspires them. We enjoy helping people with color choices and bringing ideas to life. Here’s a grouping we helped one of the ladies put together.Very cheerful!

We revealed Paige’s new design called Cannon Beach, named after a trip she took there a couple of years ago. We hung it outside the door in the hallway. It definitely was an eye catcher and brought in traffic to the shop.

The quilt was made using the Hope Valley by Denyse Schmidt. The line is out of production but we came up with another one so that we could kit it for the show. We used mostly Midnight Garden by Sandi Henderson. Here’s a little peek of it in the corner. I’ll get around to showing y’all more pics when we get it quilted and bound.

We sold all the kits we had made for this. It’s very exciting when people love what you’ve worked hard at designing and creating! We will have the pattern available on Etsy & SewModDesigns as soon as we put the PDF together.

Here’s a few of the other quilts that were on display.

Now I’ve gotta get back to putting the studio back together and deciding what my next project will be. I’m thinking houses….

Well, how about just one booth at a quilt show because all I want to do is get my brag on about how soooo darn cute our booth turned out and I know you’re just dyin’ to hear all about it, right? So, here it is in pics, because it’s just easier that way, ya know, since I’m still typing with one hand:)

Last one…

I know there are some things in the booth I didn’t get around to blogging about that I’ll take and post about over the next couple of weeks also because they deserve some special attention.

And I know I’ve said it before but it deserves repeating…thank you, thank you to all our friends who came through for us during my down time. We had friends making samples, binding, setting up the booth, taking it down, cutting fabric and even letting us use their vehicles to transport. We can’t thank each one of you enough!

Good morning everyone! I’m feelin’ a bit better. My cast is on and the Doc says I’m healing nicely.

We’ve been busy getting ready for our 1st quilt show this weekend. We set up on Thursday. All of our friends have been so supportive, stopping by to sew or cut fabric for me. A big thank you to everyone who is helping!

Here’s the show info if you’re in the ChicagoLand area. We’d love to meet you!

Prairie Stone Sports & Wellness Center. 5050 Sedge Blvd. Hoffman Estates, IL 60192  Fri 10-8,  Saturday 10-5

Since it’s so hard to type one handed, how about some show & tell?

Here’s a quilt we developed for the show. We call it Sassy Strollers and is available in pattern or kit.

Thanks for hanging with me these past weeks. I’ll try to post more often. I’ll definitely take plenty of pics of the booth this weekend.
