The tree is down, decorations put away and the house is spotless. Time to focus and reorganize. I’m telling myself…stay on track.
Do you know how hard that is when the weather for Chicago this January has been amazing! Walks without snow boots and sitting outside on the patio. I actually saw my neighbors sitting around a fire pit a couple of evenings ago!
So please forgive me for my lack of postings. I’ve been preoccupied with chirping birds and long walks:)
I have been working on this years list of projects. Although, I have to admit that I didn’t finish one thing on 2011’s list, so I’m going to keep it simple this year.
One of last years projects has been moved to 2012. CrabApple Hill’s pattern, Nesting Time. I’m determined on this one!
I want to make a Kaffe quilt. I’m thinking a scrappy Carpenters Star would be fun.
And last, get a jump start on all those handmade Christmas gifts this year. I’ve already got some ideas!
My work list is much, much longer!
Did you make your list yet? We would love to know what you’ve got planned for 2012.

Hi, Lorrie, hope you had a great holiday! Your projects are going be beautiful. I lost track of the blogs I follow while hurrying to finish all my Christmas activities and gift making. My 2012 list is still in my head, but I have many UFOs to tackle, so that will be my goal for this year. Lots of quilt tops to be quilted and several BOMs from 2011 to finish. In addition, I’m making a flannel quilt for my dh and a baby quilt.

Lorrie that nesting time project looks like a winner to me! Love all those colors of floss you have picked out.
My last years resolutions was to finish all my UFO’s and every project I started to finish it before I moved to the next project. Well, believe it or not I stuck to it but truthfully it really cut down on the fun of quilting.
So this year I am letting my hair down and starting as many projects that suits my fancy and if I don’t get them finish WHO CARES! I have already started two different projects and still have my snowman quilt on the quilting frame. LOL I’m having a ball!!! :-)

Lorrie, it sounds like you are off to a great start !! I’m very impressed with the spotless house,I have never had one of those. I love the two projects you have planned. I know you are ready to dive into the Nesting Time pattern so that you can use all of those lovely embroidery threads.
I think that I like Jeanne’s plan for this year, so the only projects that I am going to commit to are doing the Sassy Strollers and finishing the hand quilting on my Teapot Quilt .

It looks like we’re all going to finish up some things we’ve already started and I think that’s a great idea! Stress free quilting!
