Grab a spoon & let’s have some sherbert. Some Lemon, lime & orange sherbert. Ok, it’s really melon, but that’s what I think of when I look at these fabrics so I’m going with it:)
This stack was $33.01, now $28.06 at Etsy & SewModDesigns.
Want a second helping? I went through my fave’s on Etsy and scooped these out. Lemon, Lime and Orange sweetness.

New SewMod Stacks! Everyone really seems to like the stacks, so I got busy yesterday building this one. Besides, what else was I going to do now that our weather went from nice to naughty, 55 degrees one minute and snowing all day the next…bummer. I really didn’t think we’d make it through a January without snow did I?
I was in a blue and plum mood yesterday:) A little mix of Secret Garden, Artful Home and Joel Dewberry.

Have a great weekend everyone:)
I know, I’m 2 days late with that one, but it seems to have taken me awhile to get back on track. I’ve been a little lazy…Great way to start off the new year, right?
I know I’ve said this before, but the Holidays just flew by! We took a trip back home to OKC, spent some time with family and had a lot of fun. Santa was good to me this year, so I thought I’d use today’s post to share what I call the Christmas Loot. I received a couple of gift cards to two of my favorite OKC quilt stores, Savage Quilter & Oklahoma QuiltWorks.
Oklahoma QuiltWorks is my fave.
They are a nice size store with a great mix of styles focusing on the modern side. Lots of samples, a kaffe wall, Cosmo threads..yea!! I signed up for their newsletter and received a 20% coupon for my birthday off my total purchase. I kinda went overboard in there. Oh well!
Kitchen prints from Maude Asbury. I’m thinking edging for tea towels with some embroidered fruits and veggies for these.
I Couldn’t pass this Maude Asbury up called Calypso. These fabrics from Blend are sooo nice!
Patterns and novelty prints and of course I got every Cosmo floss they had.
I always find the latest Amy Butler there and a new print from Valori Wells.
And lastly, these prints that I’m absolutely kicking myself for not buying more of called Echo.
Check out this kit they had for Kaffe houses. I love This! I didn’t buy the kit but I think I may have to add houses to my list this year.
Savage Quilter is newer quilt store to the area. A very nice staff. The owner is always friendly and ready to help. Even when we decided to show up 30 minutes before closing. If you’ve ever worked retail, you know that’s annoying:)
I found lots of goodies and inspiration here.
I thought this would make a pretty cute messenger bag or pillow.
And a pile of random goodness, including a Pezzy Print layer cake!
Now all I have to do is find the time to sew!
We pulled together some more fabric bundles to start the week off. After all, what’s better than beginning our week looking a beautiful fabrics!
Paige’s pick includes some Oval Elements, Honey Child, Taza, and Bespoken.
Lorrie’s pick…
I love the warm colors in this bunch that includes Oval Elements, Heirloom, Pick*A*Bunch, Midnight Garden & Bespoken.
As always, SewMod Stacks will be available as 1/2 yard bundles in the Etsy Shop & SewModDesigns.com for 15% off the regular bundle prices.
This weekend went by in a blur! That’s what happens when you’re having fun, I guess. It especially seems to fly by during the holidays too.
Paige and I spent some time this weekend finishing up some projects and working on new ones, which I’ll be showing off this week. Sunday, Paige’s sewing group came over for lunch and a full day of catching up on projects. When you get a group together dedicated to working, a lot gets done.
We also spent some time choosing groups of fabrics, different color combinations and patterns from a variety of lines. Starting with a focus fabric and working different fabrics in with it. I don’t know about you, but I think the fabric company’s amazing marketing has just about left me incapable of mixing and matching my own colors! Don’t get me wrong, I love the way the companies group all their lines together so it’s a no-brainer for us and sometimes I need that, but I also don’t want to lose my ability to do it on my own. Remember when you did do it on your own? No bundles, no pre-matched fat quarter stacks, it was all you?
Paige is a pro at that and is helping me regain my confidence in choosing. So we are going to start showing you some of the lines that we have picked and pulled and put together from the SewMod shop.
We are offering the “pick’s“ 15% off in Etsy and SewModDesigns.com. Check them out and let us know how we did!

Bespoken by Art Gallery Fabrics arrived this week in the Shop. I’m a huge fan of Art Gallery Fabrics. The fabric is high quality and always beautiful and unique. This line is full of vintage florals and retro prints.
Here’s a few of my fave’s..
And the oval elements we received from Art Gallery for fillers coordinates perfectly with Bespoken.
And, yes, yay, hoot and holler, I got my cast off! Doc says I’m healing nicely. Now I’m off to physical therapy today @2. I’m a little nervous. I think it’s gonna hurt, but I’m ready to get back to normal. I have lots of catching up to do:)
It’s official. Her name is Rose, and she’s all dressed up because I just had to see what my new clutch looks like with some fancy clothes.
Paige and I worked on this pattern by Heather Bailey.
With this fabric combo
Added a finishing touch, a jeweled pin instead of a flower and now I have, or should I say, Rose has, a perfect clutch for her outfit!
We purchased a few dress forms a couple of months ago and I’ve been jonesing to fancy her up a bit. I knew exactly what I wanted to do and use…a Honey Child ensemble of p.j.’s, slippers, eye mask, and a cute tee, and I wanted it to be very Girly!
The slippers are made from the pattern Pigs In A Blanket. They have a Minky inner lining and leather patches for the sole. I attached a couple of the crocheted flowers my mom made with a tiny purple ribbon for extra cuteness. This was a pretty easy pattern. These would make really cute Christmas presents.
I couldn’t leave her topless, so I bought a tank top at Old navy for $7 and appliqued the word Girly to the top. I also used one of the crochet flowers to dot the “i”. An eye mask completes her look.
I’m thinking my inspiration word worked. It’s very girly. Now my girly girl needs a name…hmmm. I’ll have to think about that one. Any ideas?
