A stack of the Amber Heirloom with a special touch of the Blend Calypso Stripe and Spindle. I really like these two mixed in here. Seems to brighten it a bit. And you can’t go wrong with a good stripe!
Half yard stack of 7 was $31.00, now 15% off for $26.35 available on Etsy and SewModDesigns.
Check back on Monday. I plan to show my embroidery progress on the Witch’s Boot. Enjoy your sewing weekend!
Grab a spoon & let’s have some sherbert. Some Lemon, lime & orange sherbert. Ok, it’s really melon, but that’s what I think of when I look at these fabrics so I’m going with it:)
This stack was $33.01, now $28.06 at Etsy & SewModDesigns.
Want a second helping? I went through my fave’s on Etsy and scooped these out. Lemon, Lime and Orange sweetness.

Hopefully these satisfied your sweet tooth and brightened your winter day!
Have a great & warm weekend everyone!
I completed this quilt right before my accident and our friend, Andrea, did the binding on it. Actually she did all our bindings. A huge help!
I used the Heirloom line for this quilt. The “grout” lines are Art Gallery’s Oval Elements in Eggplant. The pattern comes from Heather Peterson’s book Living Large 2. I’m not going to say this was the easiest quilt. Those grout lines took some time and I have a couple of mistakes but I gotta say it’s striking and I love looking at it. Even with my mistakes:)
Next is Swoon.
We didn’t want to make the entire quilt just yet, so Paige took one of the blocks and made up a sample. She used Anthology’s Bonjour line.
These are the other Bonjour fat quarters to complete the quilt… greens and purples. It’s gonna look awesome!
It would also look good and so modern in Kaffe fat quarters too. Two totally different looks.
Ok, not a penny, but how about some fat quarters from Joel Dewberry’s latest line…Heirloom? I thought you’d like that better!
We are going to pick 2 lucky winners. One will receive 7 fat quarters in the Amber collection and one will receive 7 fat quarters of the Sapphire collection.
We’ve got the NSQG quilt show coming up this September and we’d like some feedback on what you look for when you’re at the shows.

Good luck everyone!
Joel Dewberry’s latest line, Heirloom arrived in the shop this week!
Pieces from the Amber collection.
And the Sapphire collection
I love that sky blue one…so pretty!
Also new patterns, including the ever so popular Swoon, by Thimble Blossoms, and a new one from A Graceful Stitch called Sparkling Starbursts, so head on over and check ’em out!
We’ve had several phone calls over the past couple of weeks asking if SewMod was a brick and mortar or an online fabric shop. To answer that question, as of right now, we are an online boutique. But if you’re in the area and you want to come by and chat, see the studio and pet the fabric, then just drop us an email. We would love to meet you!
This weekend Paige’s sewing friends will be gathering in the studio to catch up on projects and have some fun so expect lots of show ‘n’ tell next week.
Let’s pray for cooler weather next week…jeez. I’ve been away from my home state of Oklahoma so long that I’d forgotten what hot meant till this week in Chicago. 100 degrees, I’m done with that. I’m spoiled to the mild weather up here now. I think it’s even too hot for the mosquitoes!
Any hoo…have a great weekend everyone & stay cool!
Our first official order..from a human, not a computer! It was exhilarating, exciting, scary and hopefully one day will be just another day at the office.
The Rep from Westminster/Free Spirit was at the house yesterday. With the rep, you get to touch the fabric, see the samples. The computer just doesn’t do the actual colors justice. We did have to pick some of the newer releases from the printed swatches because they hadn’t made it to the states yet. Which is why it’s so important to be at market. They have all the fabric samples there.
Now, I’m a planner. I was prepared for this meeting.
Printout out the products we were interested in..check. Ballpark range of the money we were going to spend…check. Ok, I can hear you snickering now.
You definitely get caught up in the moment. So you wanna see what we got a little caught up with?
A few of Honey Child by Jennifer Paganelli
Heirloom by Joel Dewberry
Wrenly by Valorie Wells
And Taza by Dena Designs
We also ordered Kaffe fat quarter sets. And I promise not to bore you with every meeting we have with the Reps:) But I just couldn’t help myself. I had to share our newest fabric adventure. We should also promise our Rep. that we’ll be more decisive next time. There might have been a little too much…”I don’t know, do you like that, do we need that, should we?”
Paige is going to be at a retreat this weekend. Check back on Monday to see what she’s been up to.
Thanks for hanging with us this week and have a great weekend everyone!
I pulled some of our favorite pics from the designers blogs to show you whats coming soon. Visit Valori Wells and Joel Dewberry for more info on these fab lines. I know Valori has been busy making some pretty cool stuff from Wrenly.
Wrenly by Valori Wells…
And some Heirloom by Joel Dewberry…
Both of these, Wrenly and Heirloom, will be out in June.
